When my wife and I were first dating, we flew First Class to attend a fancy occasion. She was feeling quite sophisticated sitting in the pointed-end of the airplane on her way to Europe. The flight attendant asked for her wine selection of either Chardonnay or Cabernet, and my wife chose the Cab. When her glass was empty, she asked the attendant for another glass of Chabernet. Years later, I dedicate this website to my lovely wife and the memory of our unsophisticated introduction to the world of wine and food.

I do wonder how many people visit our site only because they don’t know how to spell Cabernet. Or, possibly just a typo. I’m sure Google isn’t second guessing intent and sending them here. In any case, we are glad you arrived here and enjoy yourself!
